Mission Statement of the Creative Media Alliance of Colorado
The Creative Media Alliance of Colorado (CMAC) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(6) organization formed to advance and promote creative commerce in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region.
CMAC provides an industry-wide forum for creative professionals, and places emphasis on the development of educational and economic opportunities based upon creativity, communication, and collaboration through mutually beneficial strategic alliances.
CMAC members are part of an Alliance that results in the creative community coming together for meaningful dialogue and collaborative accomplishment. Members play an integral role in building
a cohesive community of multi-disciplined creative professionals who are committed to excellence, professionalism, and integrity. They share common goals in helping shape the local creative industry and together, will influence the local economy and future success of this collective.
Vision Statement of the Creative Media Alliance of Colorado
Central to CMAC’s mission in serving the local creative community is the conviction that the necessity for developing a vibrant and dynamic community of skilled creative professionals is a critical component in being able to thrive in today’s local economy. As such, CMAC is dedicated to facilitating programs that will aid in the professional development of its members and as a result, will foster a more sustainable and mutually beneficial infrastructure.
Through its programs and valuable educational, social, and networking opportunities, CMAC seeks to discover, support, and inspire local creative professionals. CMAC also provides the opportunity for this cooperative to share information and expertise that contribute to the economic development of our community. A community of creative’s bound by a commitment to realize the benefits found in collaboration and camaraderie; creative’s eager to embrace the ideals of CMAC, and actively participate in its successful future.
CMAC is also committed to becoming a nurturing environment where aspiring youth is embraced and encouraged. An environment where CMAC professionals join together as a network of mentors and role models in support of pioneering the next generation of creative professionals who, as a result, will serve and prosper.
As an organization, CMAC will strive to become a valued reference point for entities by providing referrals and consultation services to those considering local goods and services offered by CMAC members. Overseeing CMAC's public presence, its members will realize improved visibility through such contact and the mutual networking of CMAC members within the creative community.
In addition to scheduling program events and activities, maintaining the policies and principles of CMAC, and responding to membership needs, CMAC hosts regular meetings, screenings, seminars, discussion forums, workshops, staged readings, and performances, and will continue to develop support and educational opportunities to the benefit of its members.
With a philosophy to educate, communicate, recreate, and participate; CMAC facilitates a unique mutual support system where members share time, energy, expertise, equipment and most importantly, creative and professional support of one another's work.
